Submission EFA 2018

Members and friends of the European Finance Association (EFA) are invited to submit research papers for the 45th EFA Annual Meeting to be held in Warsaw (Poland) on August 22-25, 2018. Papers on any topic related to finance can be submitted.

Submission of Papers

The submission system opens at the end of November 2017. Papers should be electronically submitted through the EFA 2018 papers management system (www.conftool.com/efa2018).

Please note:

• Each author is restricted to one submission. Additional papers can be submitted by co-author(s).
• The author submitting the paper must be an EFA member for the current year 2018 by submission deadline, click here. Co-author(s) membership is not valid.
• Papers presented at AFA or WFA meetings are not disqualified, but will be given lower priority in case of tie.
• Each author must create a new user account on ConfTool. If you submitted/participated in previous EFA meetings, your data were not saved.

Special Sessions

The EFA 2018 Annual Meeting offers four sessions in collaboration with the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), the European Central Bank (ECB), Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM), and Unigestion. Papers for special sessions will undergo the same submission and review process as regular paper submissions. Detailed information on the topics of the special sessions is available here.

Dual submission - EFA 2018 & Doctoral events

If you wish to submit the same paper to both the EFA 2018 and Doctoral Tutorial, you need to make two separate submissions. Submission for these events runs on two separate systems and have different deadlines.

If you wish to submit a paper to the EFA 2018 and send your application for the Doctoral Workshop, you need to make two separate submissions.

Submission to/application for doctoral events: February 15 - March 15 (1:00 pm Central European Time), 2018.

Reviewing

Papers will be anonymously reviewed by multiple members of the Program Committee. Authors will be notified of the Program Committee’s decision by the end of April 2018. Presenters of accepted papers are expected to attend the entire conference and be available to serve as session chairs or discussants.

Information for accepted papers

Acceptance and rejection emails will be sent out by the end of April 2018. Authors of the papers accepted to the conference are exptected to confirm their participation within one week. The presenter of the paper should register to the conference and become EFA member, if he/she is not already. Authors are also expected to upload their final versions of the paper by early June. Detailed information and dates will be provided in the acceptance letter.
